Our bronze is a high-quality Italian alloy of copper and tin that contains an anti-tarnish compound which delays, but does not eliminate, eventual oxidation. Bronze oxidizes naturally over time. Moisture under rings can accelerate the process and cause skin discoloration. We recommend removing bronze rings when washing hands and showering.
