The Pleiades are a 7 star cluster that has been a source of wonder since ancient times. Also known as "The Seven Sisters" these stars have been in art and folklore since the bronze age. In Greek mythology, the Pleiades were seven sisters, daughters of Atlas and Pleione, who were transformed into stars to escape the pursuit of Orion.
